Peter S. Liebert, MD, is a pediatric surgeon practicing in Westchester and Connecticut.  He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, with specialty training at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

His principal interests in pediatric surgery include newborn intestinal and abdominal-wall abnormalities, childhood tumors, and chest deformities.
He is one of the few pediatric surgeons with extensive experience in the minimally-invasive repair of pectus excavatum (progressive depression of the breast-bone).

A past president of the Westchester County Medical Society (2000-2001) and the Westchester Surgical Society (2008-2010), Dr. Liebert is an active member of the Medical Society of the State of New York and a regular participant in the annual House of Delegates.

Dr. Liebert is the author of both editions of The Color Atlas of Pediatric Surgery (1989, 1996) and is a past (25 year) member of the editorial board of his specialty journal, The Journal of Pediatric Surgery.

He and his wife, Mary Ann Liebert, live in Westchester. They have two married sons and two grandchildren.
